What you’d learn about me if you were in my living room.
Kick up your feet and stay a while.
I’m from California: born in Monterey County, but have lived in the San Joaquin Valley most of my life.
I’m in my mid-thirties, married to my high school sweetheart. We have two spirited kids together, but ectopic pregnancy and stillbirth are also part of our story.
I have bachelor’s degrees in English and Religious Studies and a Master’s in Theological Studies. My favorite course was on the theology of beauty.
An ordained minister, I co-pastor a congregation with my husband. I lead worship (from guitar or piano) and preach regularly.
I’m a former university library assistant of 8 years.
I’m multiracial: a quarter Japanese.
If not reading I’d like to be baking, watercolor painting, or sitting at a local cafe or restaurant. More than likely I’m actually wrangling my tiny humans at this exact moment. Probably also currently drinking coffee.
I’m an ambivert. I find my soul refreshed best when alone or in a small group, but I can amp up the energy and enjoy larger settings, too.
I’ve always had dozens of interests and often feel like a jack of all trades, master of none; the bright side is that it’s fun to follow my whims.
I try not to take myself too seriously; sometimes I fail.
